PVFG Donates $2000 to the WMCOPA Police Memorial Monument Fundraiser

Ludlow- Pioneer Valley Financial Group had the honor of presenting the Western Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association with a donation of $2,000 for the Police Memorial Monument Fundraiser.

In 1989, The Western Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association dedicated a monument to honor and memorialize police and public safety officers in the Commonwealth. The Police Memorial Monument pays tribute to those public servants who have made the supreme sacrifice by giving their lives in the line of duty. The monument also serves as a place for surviving family members and friends to come and honor those who have left us much too soon. There are currently 47 officers enshrined on this monument that is dedicated in their memory.

Formerly located on the grounds of Springfield Technical Community College, the monument now sits at 600 Kelly Way in Holyoke, MA. Following the relocation, funds were needed to refurbish the name plaques memorializing these fallen officers, which through time and weather are now showing signs of decay.

Through our donation, PVFG is privileged to help support a place where family members, fellow officers, and the public can go to reflect and remember our fallen officers.
