PV Host 10th Annual Slide into Summer Safety Event

LUDLOW, MA — On Monday, June 16th, PV Financial Group hosted its 10th annual Slide into Summer Safety event at the Ludlow Community Center/Randall Boys & Girls Club. This milestone event welcomed students in kindergarten through fifth grade, along with their families, for an engaging and educational summer kickoff focused on promoting youth safety and strengthening community connections.

First launched in 2015 as the “Bubble Blast,” the event was then rebranded two years later as Slide into Summer Safety, evolving into a cornerstone of PV Financial Group’s community outreach efforts. Over the past decade, the event has brought together families, first responders, local organizations, and small businesses with a shared mission: to foster a safe, supportive environment for children as they head into the summer months.

Kids had the opportunity to interact with Ludlow’s Fire, Police, and Health Department in a relaxed, approachable setting. Children and officers asked questions, explored emergency vehicles, and learned valuable safety tips.

The event featured four inflatable slides, complimentary ice cream and popcorn, a variety of raffle prizes, as well as police cruisers and fire trucks. A highlight of the afternoon was the fire department’s hose feature, which created a waterfall for children to enjoy — a favorite tradition that combines fun with familiarity around first responders.

Special additions for the 10th anniversary included a photo area, temporary tattoos, and appearances by Boomer, the Springfield Thunderbirds mascot, and horses from the Sheriff’s Department.

This year’s event couldn’t have been possible without the support of numerous community partners: the Ludlow Community Center/Randall Boys & Girls Club, Ludlow Cares Coalition, Police, Fire, Randall’s Farm, Ludlow Health Department, Local VFW, Uncle Bob’s General Store, Brian Nicks Productions, Pop Orthodontics, and Hubbard Memorial Library.

PV Financial Group extends its sincere thanks to all who contributed to the event’s success and looks forward to continuing this important initiative in the years ahead.
