PV Putt Off Raises Money to Support the Community, 9/22/2017

9/22/2017 |

Peter, Karen, Irene and Ed took to the green to putt for a purpose.

We were honored to support the Ludlow Fire Department Social Club by hosting a hands-on activity at their annual golf fundraiser held at Westover Golf Course.

The PV Putt Off challenged attendees to a putting contest where the winner walked away with a $100 Lottery basket. The contest raised over $650 which was donated back to the Social Club which will allocate the funds throughout our community.

“Firefighter/paramedic and Golf Committee Chairman Jason Bievenue said 152 players teed off under overcast (but dry) skies to help raise funds for community and regionally-based organizations.

Players included retired fire chiefs Mark Babineau and Charlie Chaconas…

Past tournament proceeds have benefited the American Red Cross, local Boy Scout troops, the Senior Center, the Community Survival Center, Rays of Hope, Shriners Hospital for Children, Rays of Hope, The Walter Reed Society, The American Cancer Society, and to support academic scholarships and local athletic booster clubs.

Bienvenue said this level of giving wouldn’t be possible without the support of the golf tournament’s slate of tiered sponsors.”
