We were thrilled to slide our way into summer at our 3rd annual Summer Safety event on June 23, 2017. Nearly 400 children, 50 volunteers and countless community members gathered to engage with local public safety officials from the Ludlow Fire and Police Departments, chat about safety tips, fill their bellies with sweet treats, and celebrate the last day of school.
“If we can change one life by creating an opportunity for kids to engage with and respect our local officials, this event is worth it. Whether it’s speaking up when someone is in trouble, making healthy choices or choosing to wear a bike helmet, helping children develop strong character is a community-wide effort. We’re so thankful to the Ludlow Police and Fire Departments, the Ludlow Cares Coalition and the Ludlow Community Center/Randall Boys and Girls Club for all that they do to support these efforts,” says Managing Partner Ed Sokolowski.
Slide into Summer Safety 2017 could not have been possible without the hard work of the Ludlow Fire Department and support from Ludlow Police Department, Ludlow Community Center/Randall Boys & Girls Club, Ludlow CARES Coalition, Elsie's Creamery at Randall's Farm (yum!) and KEC Party Rentals. An awesome troop of volunteers from the Hampden County Sheriff's Department, LUSO Federal Credit Union, Rotary Club of Ludlow, and Ludlow High School track team students generously donated their time to make the day extra special.
Thank you for Sliding into Summer Safety with your friends at PV Financial Group!
