Children were encouraged to interact with local first responders in exchange for raffle tickets to win prizes. With the help of the Ludlow Fire and Police Departments, along with Ludlow C.A.R.E.S. Coalition, the event meaningfully fostered goodwill and conversation between the youth and public safety officials.
“We host Slide into Summer Safety every year believing that if we make a difference in one child’s life, it’s worth it. Creating opportunities for our kids to engage with and respect our local officials is important to developing our future leaders,” says PV Financial Group’s Managing Partner Ed Sokolowski.
The event was made possibly with the help from the Ludlow Community Center/Randall Boys & Girls Club, delicious ice cream from Elsie's Creamery at Randall's Farm, volunteers from Ludlow High School and LUSO Federal Credit Union, and so many others.
“Building strong character is a community-wide effort,” says PV Financial Group’s Senior Partner Joe Leonczyk. “We’re thankful for all the ways our community partners and public safety officials step up to create opportunities for our kids to learn and grow, during Slide into Summer Safety and throughout the year.”
